3. Getting a Quote

We want you to know exactly what you’re paying for before we start any work.
Written Quotes:

  • Valid for 30 days from the date provided
  • Based on the information and site conditions at the time
  • May change if the scope of work changes or unexpected issues arise
  • All prices include GST unless stated otherwise

Verbal Estimates:

  • Given over the phone as a rough guide only
  • Not a final price until confirmed in writing
  • Help you understand costs before booking

If we discover additional work is needed once we’re on-site (like outdated wiring or safety issues), we’ll always discuss it with you first before proceeding.

4. Booking Your Electrical Service

How to Book:

Scheduling:

  • We’ll confirm your appointment time by phone or email
  • We aim to arrive on time and keep you updated if delays occur
  • Sometimes we need to reschedule due to weather, emergencies, or safety concerns – we’ll give you as much notice as possible

Cancellations:

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know as soon as possible
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your appointment may incur a call-out fee to cover our scheduling costs
  • We understand things come up – just communicate with us and we’ll work it out

5. Emergency and After-Hours Services

Electrical emergencies don’t wait for business hours, and neither do we.

Our emergency services are available 24/7, subject to electrician availability. Emergency and after-hours work comes with additional call-out charges due to the urgent nature and timing.

We’ll always tell you the rates upfront before dispatching an electrician, so there are no surprises on your bill.

6. Payment Terms

We keep payment simple and fair.

When Payment Is Due:

  • Payment is due on completion of work unless we’ve agreed to different terms in writing
  • For larger commercial projects, we may arrange progress payments or deposits

Payment Methods We Accept:

  • Cash
  • Bank transfer (EFT)
  • Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex)
  • All major payment systems used across Sydney

Late Payments:

  • If payment isn’t received within 30 days, we may charge 2% monthly interest on the overdue amount
  • Materials and equipment remain our property until full payment is received

We know life gets busy, so if you’re having trouble with payment, talk to us. We’d rather work out a solution than add stress to your situation.

7. Our Workmanship Guarantee

We stand behind every job we complete.

12-Month Workmanship Warranty:

  • All our electrical work is guaranteed for 12 months from completion
  • If something goes wrong with our workmanship, we’ll fix it at no extra cost.

Manufacturer Warranties:

  • Materials and products we supply come with manufacturer warranties
  • We’ll provide warranty information for all major items

What’s Not Covered:

  • Materials you’ve supplied yourself
  • Damage caused by misuse, wear and tear, or modifications after we’ve finished
  • Work done by other electricians after our job is complete
  • Natural events like storms, floods, or fire
  • Pre-existing faults we weren’t asked to fix

Our warranty gives you peace of mind, but it doesn’t replace your rights under Australian Consumer Law – you’re always protected by those guarantees too.

8. Our Liability and Your Protection

We carry full public liability insurance and professional indemnity coverage, so you’re protected if anything goes wrong.

What We’re Responsible For:

  • Completing work safely and to Australian Standards
  • Any damage our team causes during the job
  • Fixing mistakes in our workmanship

What We’re Not Liable For:

  • Pre-existing electrical faults we weren’t asked to repair
  • Delays caused by weather, supplier issues, or circumstances beyond our control
  • Indirect losses like lost business income or missed opportunities
  • Damage from misuse or unauthorized repairs after we’ve finished

If something does go wrong, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for that specific service. This is standard across the electrical industry and keeps our costs (and your prices) fair.

9. Safety First—Always

Your safety and our team’s safety come first, every time.

What We Need From You:

  • Safe, clear access to all work areas
  • Information about any known hazards (asbestos, live wiring, water leaks)
  • Working smoke alarms and clear paths for emergency exits
  • Pets secured away from work areas

When We May Postpone Work:

  • If conditions are unsafe (exposed live wiring, water hazards, structural issues)
  • If asbestos is discovered and proper removal isn’t arranged
  • If access to the work area is blocked or dangerous

We’ll never put anyone at risk to get a job done faster. Safety isn’t negotiable.

10. Compliance Certificates

When required by NSW regulations, we’ll provide you with a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work (CCEW) after completing your job.

This certificate proves the work meets all Australian Standards and NSW Fair Trading requirements. Keep it safe – you’ll need it for:

  • Property sales or transfers
  • Insurance claims
  • Council or strata approvals
  • Future electrical work

We register all certificates with NSW Fair Trading as required by law.

Legal Stuff:

  • Any legal disputes will be handled in NSW courts
  • Nothing in these Terms removes your rights under Australian consumer law.

We’d always prefer to work things out directly rather than through formal complaints or legal action.
